There has always been a classic rivalry between the DJ and the musician. The musician feels superior in that he is actually creating music and not just pushing buttons. The DJ feels superior in that they are playing what people want to hear, and they are actually being hired. Lately I’ve seen that most people see the benefits in both. Often I’ll play ceremony and cocktails and then hand the baton off to the DJ for some rocking favorites. Works for me. I get home in time to tuck in my sons and people get to shake their money maker. Vivre the difference!
